Ella Loves Lou

This was on Sunday, but I still have to share....

Ella loves "lou"... now I dont know where lou comes from but that is what she calls any sort of cream or moisturiser or sun block... So I leave Chris and Ella upstairs and dont expect any harm to come to them , when Chris yells that "me and Ella are going to have a bath"... well, they'd both not long had a bath, so thinking this was suspicious, I ascended the stairs to find this!

Ella and the Lou!

"more please!"

OMG! I gave Ella toast for breakfast, and she just wandered into the kitchen with her empty plate and said... "more, please!" I am so proud of my little girly! She getting the hang of this talking thing!

YAY! GO ELLA!

Say NO to House Hunting

You know you have all these protests and stuff "SAY NO TO ANIMAL CRUELTY" etc etc... There should be one about house-hunting. I vote, it should be banned. How could anyone LIKE house hunting????

Ok... so Im pretty sure I'd LOVE it if i wasnt so bitter about having to leave this place behind. We were going to buy this house which is rented atm, but it appears MILs calculationg were incorrect, and I was being led astray! Turns out we cannot afford it. Any house less than the price we were going to pay for this one, is either a really horrid house, or in a scary unsafe horrible location, so im not happy.

Here is one we're going to view tomorrow night
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-12675629.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy&ep=via_sl

Its a small village about 15 min drive from here, but it mustnt be a very nice area, as all the houses there are really cheap. I dont know though, I've never been there, so we will see tomorrow. I've been looking at the local school report, and its not outstanding, but its not terrible. Maybe I'll ask a few of the locals tomorrow!

But for now... I must clean!

Counting...

So weve just spent a very long time trying to learn to count. She can sort of say some of the letters, and knows how many fingers is 5 (nice and easy!), but is still clueless.

"two... fiy... sees... seyen... two... fiy..."

hehe.

A Birds Sweet Morning Tunes

"BISCUITS! BISCUITS! LOLLY! BISCUITS! BISCUITS! BISCUITS! LOLLY! LOLLY!"

It was actually in a tune of some sort! Hmmm... im not sure whether to call her a clever girl or a greedy girl!

Im getting my hair cut today. My mother is coming around at any time now. My appointment is at 11am.

I am even iller today than I have been. I cannot talk, as Im all croaky because im throat hurts. I have phlegm here there and everywhere. coughing and sneezing is excrutiating! *sigh* when will this end?

Trying to crawl

Joey is so trying to crawl. He moves his feet, and his bum goes up in the air, but he doesnt move his hands/arms, and just ends up with his bum facing north and then collapses. Its so cute. I havent got a photo of it yet, because im so busy encouraging him when hes doing it I forget to get the camera! So to compensate for the lack of a photo, heres a photo of Ella and Joey playing together on the floor today.

In 10 months of living here...

Ella and Lily from next door have only ever played together twice, and that was at each others bday parties! But every day you hear Lily shouting "ELLA! ELLA!" and my non-talking child shouts back "IYIY! IYIY!" oh how they long to play. But it always goes wrong. We were meant to be going next door in an hour. Well Ella decided she could not longer keep her eyes open and has conked out! So thats that playdate called off! *sigh* So to cheer myself up, heres a photo of my babies!

LOLLY! LOLLY!

If Ella asks for another "lolly lolly lolly" again i will drop the whole freezer on her head. Ok, so I wont, but she can now open the freezer and helps herself to the ice pops. if she cant quite reach, shes tapping me and asking for a lolly lolly lolly lolly and she doesnt quit saying it until you get up and get her one!

Ella and Joey both got new shoes yday. Joey got his first pair. Size 3.5G thats half a size smaller than Ella was when she bought her first walking shoes at about 15 months!!!! BIG FEET! Can you believe I spent £16 on a pair of shoes for a 6 month old?! AM I CRAZY! Theyre so cute though (for the americans thats about $30) Ellas were £25 (£50) and dont even fit right! I pay that much money so that i can be sure theyre fitting right, and they dont! So they shall be returning to the store!

Chris has been away since last sunday, thats SEVEN DAYS, and he comes back next friday. thats another what... 5 days?! I CANNOT HANDLE THIS! He was coming home yday to surprise me, but then everything went wrong and he had to turn back and go to work. He was almost home, he'd driven 3 hours, and then had to drive 3 hours back. WHAT A WASTE! poor thing.

Im going to my lovely MILs for dinner today *ugh*, but she did actually have the decency to call me and ask me if i wanted dinner! First time ever! Maybe the fact that I invited myself last week made her realise that being home without Chris isnt quite as hunky dorey as she thinks. IM HUNGRY DAMMIT!

Joey is currently cooing at me. I have to go to the shop and buy milk *omg i so dont want to* because its Ellas nap time in less than an hour. When I go round to the shops i just take the single stroller, because the double takes to long to put up for just a 3 min journey, and it also doesnt fit in the door of the shop! But this means Ella walks. Which on a good day is not a problem, but today is not a good day. this weekend has not been a good weekend.

OH WELL! GOTTA BE DONE!

Ella the Caveman!

So the neighbours just came round to invite us to join in the birthday cake celebrations at the weekend... their daughter is turning 2....
and as they leave I say "say bye bye Ella"... she just waves and starts babbling away in her word-less way, and Lily (the girl next door) says "bye bye ella! look mama, I can see ellas tummy button! bye bye ella see you soon on my birthday. bye bye ella"...
yes i feel like my daughter is a undeveloped sort of... caveman. She just babbles... *sigh*

Ellas new words

And how about a real update!

Ella is starting to actually say words now. Today she stunned me saying "Juice" and doing the sign for juice, and also the sign for drink. She has got this off the TV programme called Something Special, which is a guy called Justin, doing signing.

She also said "hot hot hot!" and pointed at the oven yesterday! We say the oven is HOT! so she doesnt touch, but never hot hot hot... then it dawned on us... in big cook little cook, if something is going in the oven big cook ben says "Get your grown up helper to do this for you because remember, the oven is HOT HOT HOT!"

We also learnt what SCISSORS are, and Ella said scissors. I also asked her if she could say shoes, and she went out and got every pair of shoes in the house, gathered them up together in a pile and exclaimed "SHOOOOOOOOE"

she says "mmmm" when she points at her mouth. She knows it starts with an M but doesnt say the outh bit! and she says head... "eah"

if she picks something up thats gross, or goes to touch the bin, or eats something she doesnt like (eg. banana skin) we've always said "yuck dirty!" and shes just said "yuck!" now she says "yuck ditty"

So shes doing great! Im so proud of her.

Oh and at last, after months of trying to teach her the elephant action and sound, she does it!!! she only ever laughed hysterically before! Now she does it and expects us to laugh. ha.

Todays show...

Doodle Do. I actually like this show. Its a new one, and when it started, me and Chris were like "THIS IS CRAP!" but we watched it once or twice and now actually turn it on to watch on our own! Its three hands called Dib Dab, Scribble and Stick. They live in Chris' attick. Chris is Welsh and his accent in mezmorising. Stick is hilarious. It seems kind of unrehearsed. One of the hands will say something and Chris will laugh because he wasnt expecting it. And people accidently overlap when theyre speaking. They do arts and crafts and act out a story at the end. DOH I cant find a pic! Its good anyway...

"Doodle Do, Doodle Do,
Dib Dab, Scribble, Stick and you
We'll show you, what to do
So that you can doodle do...
DOOOOODLEEEEEEE
Doodle Do is what we do
You can doodle, do it to
Doodle Do, Doodle Do
Everyone can Doodle Do."

And at the end they all have a goodbye line and they sometimes turn it into whatever theme they've done.

See ya later alligator
See you soon over the moon
Bye Bye got to fly!

Its great!

Oh and I got flowers!

I forgot about that. Chris brought me flowers when he got home today. I spoil EVERY surprise for myself though. I ALWAYS know if he's planning something... and I guessed ALL of my Christmas presents without any clues! There was no indication that he was gonna buy me flowers... but from how chirpy he sounded on the phone on the way home... I just knew! ahhh.

I wish I had something interesting to say

And maybe *SOME OVERLY PREGNANT WOMEN* wouldnt nag so much!!! LOL!

Yes... I've worked out why I never update. Because I never actually DO anything therefore never have anything to update you with. Lets see... yesterday all I done was take lots more pics of Joey. CLICK HERE TO SEE He is a beauty if I may say so myself.

Then today... ummm... ive done even less! Ive sat and watched childrens shows all day. I seriously need to buy myself an adult to play with... ummm... not in *that* way. But dancing to a song which goes... (drumroll please)

"jelly boats and pirates gold princess pea pies...
carrot cakes and fruit smiles and envelope surprise...
we love our cafe and we love to cook
we have a fantastic recipe book... *do do do do do do*
He is big cook, and he is small
friends in our cafe we cook for them all
when your tummy gets all rumbley
you're ready for a treat [insert biting sound here]
we can make something delicious to eat."

If you actually heard that song for real you'd be shocked that I know all the words. Its sang kinda fast so its all a bit of a jumble! From the show Big Cook Little Cook about two guys... Ones the size of a fairy, and the other is human size and they have a "cafe" even though today Big Cook didnt know what a telescope is "Whats a telescope Small?" "its something you look in to make things that are really far away, look really big" [Big Cook Ben looks into telescope at Little small] "WOAH! Im not going to call you Small anymore Small, Im going to call you GIGANTIC!" [ho ho ho]

And they have ONE customer a day and instead of the customer chosing their item... they chose it for them, and its never something thats gonna fill them up... (eg. a melon with some bits of apple in made to look like a mouth with teeth... or a slushy ice drink)... oh yea - the slushy ice drink took 12 hours! why would peter the penguin wait in the cafe for over 12 hours for an "iceburg slush" Oh and Small flies around on a spoon... hmmmm....

I'll give you the low down on some other kids programme the next time i've had a boring day! (every day!)

I ACTUALLY EDITED THIS BECAUSE I SAW I GOT ONE WORD WRONG IN THE SONG! I PUT "IN FOR A TREAT" INSTEAD OF "READY FOR A TREAT" Im so sad!
